UNLOCKED BMW MG1?
YOU MAY STILL NEED AN OBD PATCH

FEMTO or AutoTuner unlock is the first step. For supported B48 / B58 MG1 workflows, an OBD Patch may be required before the ECU can be flashed through the intended OBD tool. Upload your complete 8 MiB FLEX FLASH read and generate the compatible output.

UNLOCKED ≠ READY FOR EVERY OBD WORKFLOW

Why can an unlocked BMW MG1 still need an OBD Patch?

Unlocking the DME and preparing it for a specific OBD flashing workflow are not always the same step. Depending on the ECU software, unlock method and the tool you want to use next, a compatible OBD Patch may still be required. If your BMW MG1 is already unlocked but the intended OBD flashing workflow cannot recognize or write it as expected, this is the file-processing step you may be looking for.

Typical supported workflow: FEMTO / AutoTuner Unlock → FLEX 8 MiB FLASH Read → OBD Patch → Compatible OBD Flashing.

FEMTO → OBD FlashGenerate the appropriate FEMTO patch output for supported later OBD flashing workflows such as MHD or bootmod3.
FEMTO → AutoTunerNeed to use AutoTuner after an unlock? Generate AT-recognized OBD patch output when the ECU/software combination is supported.
Unlocked but cannot flash? An unlock alone does not guarantee compatibility with every flashing tool. Upload the original complete FLEX read for validation.
FLEX 8 MiB FLASHComplete 8 MiB .bin files only. Validation happens before processing, and unsupported files are not charged.
